2008 Attorney-CPA Foundation Essay Contest
The Attorney-CPA Foundation is pleased to announce its 2008 essay contest. The topic for the Accounting division is as follows: Compare and contrast the SEC/PCABO and AICPA rules and philosophy on independence for the attestation role including the attribution to the practice entity and other professionals therein. Entrants must be an accounting major enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program. The essay should be approximately 10 pages in length, including footnotes or endnotes, typed and double-spaced. The awards include a grand prize of $2,500 plus travel and hotel expenses to attend the upcoming national convention of the Attorney-CPA Foundation where the winner will be recognized; a runner-up award of $1,500; third & fourth place awards of $500 each; and four regional prizes worth $250 each.
