Failure to address this issue may result in businesses failing to grow, sustain productivity or even survive. Leading Strategically in an Uncertain World
It is increasingly clear to executives that the world continues to become ever more complex and uncertain, making it more difficult to develop accurate forecasts of future events and to develop and execute strategic plans. Driven by globalization, communication technologies,a changing environment, geopolitical dynamics, shifting workforces and customer demographics, emerging markets and competitors, and a host of other macro factors, executives are being forced to change the way they approach the future and how they effectively respond to it.

This program is designed to challenge the way you think about the future and help you gain insights on how you might better prepare for it. In this program, you will be exposed to a number of potential scenarios; current thinking, frameworks and tools for strategic causal mapping and new forms of organizing, all of which will better enable you to respond to future uncertainties.

When you have completed this program, we want you to have an action plan for how you will better enable your organization and yourself to prepare for an uncertain world.  Read more

Developing and Executing Strategies that Work
Critical to the success of any organization is the ability of its leaders to develop and execute a clear and focused strategic direction. While
this may sound obvious, many leaders today struggle with these challenges, especially the execution challenge. In fact, recent research
indicates that at least 60% of all strategic planning efforts fail due to poor execution. In this seminar, we will examine the best practices
available for ensuring successful execution, including translating strategy into clearly defined priorities, motivating managers and employees
to commit to execution, communicating strategic direction and priorities to the organization, and gaining alignment through proper goal
setting and resource allocation. Participants will leave this seminar with a sound game development and execution plan that they can employ
in their organizations.  Read more

Creating Value Through Mergers and Acquisitions (M&As): A Framework for Executives and Managers
M&As have been, and will continue to be, critical vehicles for enabling executives to execute corporate and business strategies. These may
include entering new lines of business; growing into new markets; accessing new technologies, products and other capabilities; consolidating
and rolling up markets and the like. In spite of their widespread use, the evidence to date clearly indicates that M&As have not lived up
to the expectations of executives and have failed to consistently create value for a variety of stakeholders (e.g., shareholders, managers,
employees).

This program is designed to help you understand how you can best manage the M&A process to ensure that value is created. In this
program we will examine the M&A landscape and provide systematic frameworks for managing the stages of the M&A process. We will
take the perspectives of (1) buying and selling firms, (2) large scale M&As (e.g., Hewlett Packard/Compaq) and bolt on/roll up acquisitions
(e.g., Cisco), and (3) public and privately-held firms.  Read more

Managing Uncertainty and Risk to Ensure Enterprise Success
We are constantly faced in the media with stories of yet another company failing in the market, of rogue traders who lose millions, even
billions, for a company, and of well-established companies disappearing seemingly instantaneously (Barings Bank, Enron, Anderson etc.).
Enterprises such as yours face challenges to their plans and aspirations on a daily basis, sometimes unexpected, sometimes simply not
recognized. Risks can come as political upheavals, climatic changes, economic pressures, people who might lack the motivation and talent
necessary for your enterprise’s success, outsourcers using the wrong paint on your products, lost reputations, and a wide variety of other
forms. Without managing such uncertainties or risks, great harm can be inflicted and great new opportunities can be missed.

This program is designed to help you understand the landscape of uncertainty and risk that you and your peers may face in your enterprises
and develop the strategies to manage those risks. We want you to walk away at the end of the program with a risk management strategy for
your company that you can develop and execute when you return to work.    Read more
