Learn how to present in a new way so that everyone can understand your ideas
This highly interactive, experiential two-day program provides participants with the opportunity to assess their current and typical communication habits while preparing to practice effective presentation skills. You will explore your own public speaking and presentation expectations, standards, and goals. You will then work towards those goals through a variety of activities, games and group experiences. You will discuss the ways and means of being assertive and influential while learning how communication and presentation skills can support this competency. There will also be opportunities to practice communication and presentation skills, aiming to build strong habits.You will learn:

Richard B. Lawhon, Ph.D.
Dr. Lawhon currently teaches Speech in the Department of English at the University of South
Carolina. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Advertising and Public Relations, and his Ph.D. is
in English. For more than 20 years, Dr. Lawhon has conducted professional development
workshops focusing on speaking, writing, and training skills for supervisors, trainers, and other
leaders in business, industry, government, and education.
