Cost of Graduate School


Estimated Proposed Expenses for 2008 - 2009
Fees vary depending on the program in which you are enrolled and, in some cases, the number of credits you take. Students enrolling in IMBA or MHR will pay a program fee for the course work required for the degree.  Master of Accountancy, PMBA, and MA Economics students will pay an hourly rate for the course work; total cost will depend on prerequisites required. All program fees are payable in installments during enrollment in the program.  Please note that all fees and costs are subject to change without notice.

Doctoral Program Tuition   
The Ph.D. in Business Administration and the Ph.D. in Economics are tuition-based programs. Please see the Doctoral Program Tuition Page for current tuition and assistantship information.

 

Other Special Fees  
Seat Confirmation Fee for all graduate programs.  (Please note  there is no Seat Confirmation Fee for Ph.D) $1,000
Application fee $100
International students are assessed a one-time enrollment fee. $500
A one-time, non-refundable, matriculation fee is assessed on all degree-seeking students. $50
A technology fee is assessed per semester for full-time students - (For part-time students, the fee is $17 per credit hour) $200
Living Expenses (estimated)  
Housing:  2-bedroom apartment near Columbia campus $575 per month
Food:  For students living off-campus $200 per month
Books:  Academic year, books, and supplies $800 per year
Insurance: All students are required to have health insurance.  University insurance is available. $1,000 per year
Other:  Medical, dental, transportation, clothing, recreation, personal $2,000 per year
Dependent family members: Figure an additional $2,000 for a spouse and $750 for each child
