The University of South Carolina’s Moore School of Business is the best in the country for an
undergraduate education in international business, according to
U.S. News & World Report’s 2009 "America’s Best Colleges" guide.
This marks the 12th year the undergraduate international business program has been ranked No. 1, placing it ahead of other prestigious programs such as Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and Stern School of Business at New York University.
"We are very pleased to continue our top ranking for undergraduate international business," said Moore School Dean Hildy Teegen. "It is a testament to the caliber of our faculty, programs, and extracurricular opportunities, and to the consistency of the overall experience we provide our students."
The U.S. News undergraduate ranking continues the trend of national and international recognitions for the Moore School. Earlier this year, U.S. News ranked the international MBA (IMBA) program at Moore No. 1 among public universities, and No. 2 among all institutions in the 2008 "America’s Best Graduate Schools" guide.
The Moore School was ranked 2nd worldwide and 1st among U.S. public schools in the "Best in International Business" category of the 2008 Financial Times of London ranking of MBA programs. Among U.S. universities, Moore School’s MBA programs placed 25th in the Times ranking.
In addition, Moore School placed 14th among the Top 20 business schools in the United States and Canada "most favored by international recruiters" in a 2007 QS TopMBA.com International Recruiter Survey.
In the
U.S. News’ ranking of the nation’s Best Business Programs, the Moore School ranked No. 24
among public universities. The rankings are featured in the September 1 issue of
U.S. News & World Report, available on newsstands Monday, August 25. The "America’s
