In this innovative, fast track program, Honors students complete their undergraduate degree and medical degree in seven years.

The accelerated undergraduate to M.D. is a highly selective program for Honors College students and one of the most rigorous and challenging undergraduate programs offered by the University of South Carolina. Admittance to this degree program is based on a separate application process completed prior to matriculation.

What You’ll Study

A student admitted into the accelerated undergrad to M.D. program pursues a B.A.R.S.C. degree and constructs an individualized program. The program includes completion of all pre-med and additional honors requirements in three years and has a significant research and thesis component. Medical school starts in the fourth year of the program and is completed in four years.
